- If using a professional, be sure to get at least two to three proposals
- If using a professional, be certain that their design fits your style
- Be sure the design is “livable” for your family
- Ascertain a clear timeline and budget
- Determine if they will be paid by the hour or by bid?
- Allow the designer/architect to manage the other professionals (contractors, painters, and electricians, etc., as well as furniture deliveries)
